Fake dating trope meets quinceañero w/ rich and nuanced family relationships alongside the YA romance please. #MSWL

Darker, issue-led women's fiction, and books about difficult or challenging family dynamics that we might not have seen before #mswl

Wait, I have another #MSWL item. Blended families!! There is nothing I love more than seeing exes okay with their former significant other’s new partner and vice versa. I need that happiness in my life.

I am literally copying and pasting this from my Pub Marketplace profile BUT I was born and raised in Southern California in a multi-cultural, blended family, so I have a soft spot for books that shine a spotlight on the nuances of family relationships and identity. #MSWL

Happy #mswl day! I'd like to see a suspense/thriller with a single pov and a rich atmosphere. Historical suspense in the vein of Ruth Ware. Family, friendship, and enemies attract my attention. Check the rest of my wish list on the Belcastro Agency website.

But I also look for a “lean forward” plot. Whether a domestic mystery, family saga, upmarket fiction, or light-hearted romcom, send me your novels with that page-turning quality that keep me reading late into the night. #mswl

My clients have pointed out that I've got a specific subset of YA Nerd Girl Romance, and I am always here for more! Queer & POC girls very welcome, and I'm more likely to be won over by the romance if it intersects with other themes - family, friendship, self-discovery. #mswl

Oh my god, YES, PLEASE. One of my favorite things about While You Were Sleeping is how close Lucy got to the Callaghan family (and Saul). I'm always looking for a story where someone is "taken in" and loved by a family not their own #MSWL

Books with complicated family dynamics #MSWL

All right, all right, one last one. I don't know exactly how you could execute this and make it a romance, but I am VERY into Succession right now so I'm going to throw "rich and extremely dysfunctional family with twisted but loving sibling dynamics" out there. #MSWL

A MG with the incredible voice, fully-realized characters, and sense of family love of Schitt's Creek. #MSWL

For a long time now I've been looking for a contemporary romance in which an only child/lonely person is welcomed into a huge, sprawling, loving family. Think While You Were Sleeping. (We're looking now for romances for 2020's holiday season, hint hint.) #MSWL

i'm a sucker for a good family story, a good friendship story, and of course some good romance, too, but it's okay if that's not front and center. i didn't date until i was in college, so i know there's more to being a teen than romance! #MSWL

#MSWL Explorations of families, especially those with interesting and varied cultures/traditions. I loved the balance in To All the Boys I've Loved Before.

Last one until after lunch but Southern psychological thriller in the vein of Sharp Objects. Less damaged heroines but more matriarchal and family secrets and drama. #MSWL

I’d love to see some horror but more psychological, ghosts, family secrets ala The Haunting of Hill House. YA or A. #MSWL

Kimberley wants women's fiction and family dramas. Think Anne Patchett! #MSWL

Four generations of my family get together at the same beach for a week every year. There are A LOT of us, but we love each other! Give me your multigenerational family beach stories with humor and heart! #MSWL

A few other things I'd love to see in my inbox...
*MG novel that revolves around a big family (traditional or untrad) and plays with form the way Jane the Virgin did
*YA novel about a young tennis phenom (like Coco Gauff!)
*Interesting structures
*Subversive takes on tropes
