4/4 #MSWL Young adult: contemporary romance & dating; LGBTQ+; diverse families and ownvoices; captivating voice in narrative; well-structured mystery; survival; suspense; self-esteem; mental health; body positivity; well-rounded supporting cast; subversive outcast; happy endings.
For those #amquerying I remain open to queries. Genres high on my #mswl for 2019 in adult and YA include horror, historical fantasy, chilling mysteries, and tense stories about survival. In nonfiction would love some weird or fun history.
In #sciencefiction wouldn't mind a space survival or new planet survival story. Think Adrift by Rob Boffard or Semiosis. Love stories about crashing or landing on unknown planets and the early days of colonization or the journey. #MSWL
I'm still searching for my MG survival story! Please send me your shipwrecks, deserted islands, mountains, forests, jungles, deep sea diving, lost in the big city, kayaking, camping trips gone wrong, treasure hunts… I'll take them all! #mswl
I'm also looking for survival romances (NOT ROMANTIC SUSPENSE), where the H&H have to rely on each other to survive. Think wilderness and disaster stories. Send query and 1st five pages pasted in body of email to: querylynnette (at) theseymouragency (dot) com. #MSWL
#mswl I'd love to see a wildfire story. I'm equal opportunity on the setting -- campers/hikers? Surburanites? I want to see survival and moving on. Also, I'm from CA, so wildfires affecting urban settings is something I'm used to seeing (alas).
I am absolutely dying to see some MG adventure or survival stories in my inbox! Shipwrecks, deserted islands, mountains, forests, deep sea diving, lost in the big city... whatever you've got I'm probably looking for it! #mswl
