🏅I'm always on the hunt for a steamy sports romance with a strong and interesting plot. I'm sure the Olympics is going to inspire a whole lot of stories.

In sports romance, I want drama and high stakes. Give me Olympians going head-to-head for the Gold Medal, I love actual rivalry. Give me an ex-partner being chosen as the national team’s coach. Give me genderqueers setting fire to these dumb gendered sports.

This is also the one time, every four years, when I’m very interested in sports that aren’t Figure Skating, so you might as well send me those sports romances (No hokey, please. I’ve tried, it’s not for me.) #MSWL

-Adventure and/or heist roms (the more bonkers, the better)
-Contemporary romance/rom coms (though it needs to have a strong voice and strong hook)
-Nerdy/fandom romances (comic con, cosplay, fanart/fanfic, D&D, etc.)
-sports roms (particularly BIPOC and/or LGBTQ)

Okay…I’m almost afraid to do this, but…

For my #MSWL , I would love a collegiate level or higher gymnast romance. But it needs to be authentic. If you don’t understand first-hand the blood, sweat, and tears of the sport, there’s a 99% likelihood you’ll miss the mark. IYKYK.

BIG #MSWL item for me:

Upmarket fiction, #ownvoices #Indigenous stories that feature sports. Think Olympics, long-distance running, rock-climbing, snow sports, mountaineering, etc.

Ideally with strong character arcs and a commercially appealing external plot.

Oh gosh, aside from doing a search for #MSWL , I’m not sure. I’m actively searching for (preferably) a high-level gymnast or diver who is forced to give up their sport due to extenuating circumstances and how they cope. But I’d be open to other sports.
