Reimena Yee 🦇🌹 Preorder The Maker's Club! @reimenayeeSomeday I'd like to spend time to identify the visual-literary devices unique to comics and put them all in a list. Something that goes beyond appropriating terms from other media, and beyond just describing the format.
If you are a graphic novel creator, looking to these #MSWL and thinking how your visual form can breathe life into them is what I want.
And I am linking to this amazing thread that @AngrygirLcomics retweeted this morning because it is gem. twitter.com/reimenayee/sta…

Natascha Morris @SoCalledYALifeSo let's talk graphic novel #MSWL ahead of me opening on 6/1. Below are just a small sample of some of my talented clients and their work.
For graphic novels, art is such a big part of it for me. pic.twitter.com/nePULFddzM
But you don't have to be an illustrator to give me graphic novels. I also love script only graphic novels #MSWL.
One thing I have noticed about my taste is I read for escape. I lean towards fantasy, or contemporary-elevated (which is not my regular every day).
#MSWL time. Does anyone remember Cybersix? It was a comic, I watched the television series. I'd love to see another gender-bending story (graphic novel or fiction) in my inbox. Also think Nikita with Maggie Q.
Carolina Ortiz @pushthepanoramaSomething I would love to see is plus-sized protags in graphic novels proposals for children. It's rare to this representation in prose novels but even rarer to see it in visual mediums. #mswl
Me too! #mswl
I'm constantly catching up on queries (which have gone up 200% since the pandemic hit). One category I'd love to see more of are graphic novels for kids and teens. Contemporary/fantasy/historical. Always diverse voices! Especially if an author/illustrator. #MSWL
agents! i figured i should update you all on what i'd love to see in my lbyr inbox, so i'm hoping this helps light their path my way. ~please~ reach out if you have any questions or projects you think may be a fit! (please excuse typos or winding logic!) #mswl #ya #mg #pb #gn
Peter Knapp @petejknappMy graphic novels are taking up more and more of my very limited shelf space! I just finished STEPPING STONES by Lucy Kinsey and really loved it; in it, Lucy wants to move back to the city--but (being city bound at the moment) I came for farm and stayed for the barn kittens! pic.twitter.com/Bo2gDrwQ3k
Anyhow, graphic novels are high up on my #mswl at the moment! They've been a big source of company during the lockdown.
lyn @MAMETCHltfw i feel bad for taking over 2 weeks with a commission but then i think about how the pope commissioned michelangelo to paint the sistine chapel and it took 4 years and he literally ran away twice cuz he hated painting and wanted to sculpt and the pope kept hunting him down
#MSWL Michelangelo and the Pope Sistine Chapel story funny and informative for young creative readers to feel better about life. GN format of course!
#mswl #mg I love layered literary middle grade fantasy (some favorites: The Girl Who Drank the Moon or His Dark Materials), and coming-of-age graphic novels in the vein of Spinning and This One Summer 6/?
Alice S-H @alibelleSlightly weird feeling removing "Rights Agent" from my signature, as I'm no longer working on international rights after nearly three and a half years.
I'm now solely primary agenting and I'm super excited to have more time and space to dedicate to it!
With that in mind, send me your work! I'm looking for MG-YA including graphic novels, and illustrators across all ages. I want fun, fresh and escapist books with a phenomenal voice and a clear hook. Looking forward to reading!

#MSWL MG, YA, or graphic novels with this mood / setting / ambience / evocative sense of the fantastical waiting-to-happen as a jumping-off point.
