“Hungry to work on more LGBTQ+ YA novels and diverse, inclusive reads. I'd also love to see more YA non-fiction hit my inbox." @ericsmithrocks #MSWL ericsmithrocks.com/mswl

Beyond this, I have yet to ever go on submission with a good thriller or memoir, and so throwing out a desire these, in an especial way, but throw me any YA and adult fiction and non-fiction you've got, with some exceptions. Open to #queries like heck! #MSWL

I'd love a good novel that explores the affective/emotional life as a key plot development device. I'd also love of a novel that treats of healthy religiosity--for YAs or adults both. So often, religion is negatively grasped and/or understood as damaging. #MSWL

My bizarre fascination with these girl scammer stories—and the toxic friendships they rely on—means I’m craving a fiction YA (and age-appropriate) retelling! #MSWL

...if anyone’s got a YA about toxic female friendships... #MSWL

There’s a K-drama called Revenge Note (I know it’s kind of sounds like Death Note). It’s about a teen who has an app called Revenge Note that appears on her phone one day. You can enter the name of someone you want to take revenge on. I want this in a YA!!! #mswl

I'm open to queries again! Would love some compelling YA/MG (maybe some social justice thrown in?), can't-put-down Book Club fiction, a good Thriller #ownvoices #MSWL stringerlit.com

Seeing so much YA where the protag is Not Into Instagram, celeb gossip, etc. in a way that suggests she's too good/smart for it. It's a valid character choice, but it's also valid for young women to be into that stuff!

The idea that teen girls are vapid/shallow/dumb for being into pop culture is harmful (not to mention as old as time -- the Beatles, anyone?). I'd love a YA novel where the protag is happily into it all. #MSWL

#MSWL Would love to see some fantasy based on non-western cultures. Adult, YA and MG. I will look at it all but especially like darker elements.
