"A diverse, contemporary YA novel about strong guy friendships. Think Poe and Finn. <3" @ericsmithrocks #MSWL ericsmithrocks.com/mswl

You know what else I want to see in YA submissions? Teens having safe consensual sex & enjoying it. Not only is that how it can be in a real teen's life but I think books should be modeling that behavior. And also, teens talking & advocating for that in their relationships. #MSWL

I like seeing a teen choose to go to work instead of to college in a YA & having it be the right choice for them. Everyone deserves to see themselves in a book & not going to college is the reality for many kids. It can totally be a happily ever after. #MSWL

Is it possible for a story to be sci-fi but not too sciencey? I want a YA set in space that's not fantasy but is also not super sciencey. Like, space is just the setting & the world-building doesn't feel intrusive & the story isn't necessarily about that. #MSWL

You know what I really want to see in my inbox when I'm open to submissions 11/1-12/15/19? Super romantic, swoon-worthy & humorous YA in all genres (well, not horror or thrillers). I'd particularly LOVE to see stories by #POC & always welcome the full spectrum of #LGBTQIA #MSWL

Loving being back open to queries! The genres I'm most excited to review rn are: (1) MG of any kind; (2) Nonfiction MG or YA graphic novels; (3) Narrative YA or MG nonfiction and (4) Young graphic novels (think chapter book age) See my #mswl on my site cleliagore.com/2019/10/15/fal…

I am on the hunt for a MG or YA graphic novel, ideally by an author-illustrator. Spread the word! #mswl

I'd also love to see some YA in the same vein as Sarah Addison Allen. #amquerying #MSWL

Sometimes, I want to email my favorite authors + say, "Can I steal you for my agenting self, I love you so much?" I think I may start, at some point, out of desperation. Please send me your goodies when I re-open. Thirsty for the best YA and adult fiction. Hoping for 11/15. #MSWL

Nora Long @NoraLong10 · Oct 25

Hey, exciting news! My #mswl page is officially up and running (and perhaps unnecessarily detailed), so hit me with your best shot, query people :)

Have updated my Looking For page! Take a look and get in touch if you have something that might fit. (And please don't judge the Mariah Carey-esque photo. It was VERY WINDY that day.) #mswl

The change of season has me hankering for a dark, twisty YA thriller or a chilling, atmospheric horror! Send me your goodies, writers! #MSWL #querytip #amquerying

If you can comp your MG or YA to Jurassic Park, I want it please #mswl

I like YA on the weirder side & YA with really lyrical voices: I still cannot stop thinking about Midwinterblood, The Accident Season, All the Truth That's in Me, or We Were Liars.
