It’s been a while since I updated my #MSWL: I’m on the hunt for hooky & commercial YA and MG, original worldbuilding & plot driven narratives - & would particularly like to see diverse protagonists across race, sexuality and gender. For more details see: petersfraserdunlop.com/agent/lucy-irv…
I'm looking for Middle Grade and Young Adult manuscripts, strong and diverse voices, as well as brave and character-driven narratives across all genres. I'm always looking for #ownvoices LGBTQI+

I also do adore tropes. Enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience, fake dating, slow burn... I’d love to see marginalized voice playing with these tropes in their books, especially YA fantasy (and romance of course)! #MSWL

(YA/MG genre continued) Like with contemporary, I am especially interested in queer, disabled, and BIPOC protagonists, especially when the books are not issue driven. But above all give me a good, page turning adventure. #mswl

For YA and MG genre, I love genre fiction with fast pacing and high stakes. I am generally not preferential to any specific genre as long as the rules of the genre are respected and understood.... #mswl

For YA & MG contemp., I love fiction where the main character has average, everyday challenges and we see how they overcome them. I love books that are lighthearted and emotionally driven.... #mswl

#MSWL update! I'm now accepting thrillers in adult fiction (as well as in YA, which has always been the case). I am NOT looking for anything law-enforcement focused, including FBI/CIA. I am looking for the story to contribute to a larger sociopolitical conversation.

Contemporary WITCHES and covens. #YA and #MG, but keep it grounded in this world—think: The Craft or Practical Magic. I'm also on board with other #magicalrealism in styles of Laura Ruby, Anna-Marie McLemore, Emily X.R. Pan, Katrina Leno, Ibi Zoboi's American Street #MSWL

Groups of teens who work! #YA set among servers, caterers, retail workers, lifeguards, camp counselors – any work. Think #Sweetbitter or Empire Records but a #YA book. #MSWL

SO EXCITED to announce that I'm now open to queries at @EmeraldCityLit & will represent #YA and #MG fiction projects alongside agents @MandyHubbard and @LindaEpstein. I'm so grateful to them both for being such incredible mentors. #amquerying submit here:QueryManager.com/caitlinwhite
Last but not least...I don’t normally open for science fiction, but I’m really looking for something in the MG or YA space to knock my socks off. I don’t want anything set in space or with ships. I’ll keep my inbox open to this genre open until the end of February.
Thrillers! MG, YA, or adult. I want to sit on the edge of my seat. I want to question the narrator. If you have something like The Flight Attendant or You, then send away.
