I also ONLY rep kidlit, specifically #YA and #MG fiction. That may not have been clear on #MSWL because I got a LOT of adult fiction this time, which is an auto pass. Not to make people annoyed or that I don’t love it but because I specialize to better help my clients right now.
Caitlin White @caitforestellQuery stats! I opened 4/17, and so far received 219 queries, requested 4, passed on 176, and still have 39 in queue — not in chronological order because I don’t always read them as I get them & some I’m still deciding. (Which may be frustrating to some #amquerying writers!) 1/
I’m also a super-duper realistic horror fan (Scream and Jaws are two of my favorite all-time movies), so I’m here for contemporary realistic slashers that aren’t too gory, thrillers, and whodunnits (Scream is a whodunnit!!) in #YA #MSWL
Caitlin White @caitforestellI’m open to queries as of right now!! You can send me your letter and first 10 pages on QueryManager here: QueryManager.com/caitlinwhite
To help you out, here’s a thread of #MSWL and anti-MSWL for any #amquerying writers thinking of submitting their fiction #YA and #MG
I currently represent projects alongside @EmeraldCityLit founder Mandy Hubbard and senior agent Linda Epstein and I’m truly on the hunt for something and someone to represent. If you have anything on this #MSWL, please send and let me know!

Some MG favorites and ones I’m excited for: This One Summer (but not graphic for my #MSWL), The Westing Game, Small Spaces, 102 Days of Lying About Lauren, The Line Tender, The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise, the Jumbies
Some of my YA favorites lately and upcoming books I’m excited for: Firekeeper’s Daughter, Undead Girl Gang, Truly Devious, Summer of Bitter and Sweet, Your Lonely Nights Are Over, and You’re Not Supposed to Die Tonight #MSWL
For #MG, I’m really picky about voice because I think it’s so hard! I’m looking for a big heart without being saccharine, friendship-centered contemporary, and small adventures that feel big to them like Stand By Me. #MSWL
Related to the above, contemporary teens that work! Love stories in industrial fridges while waitressing, finding friends at the boardwalk surf shop, finding yourself at the water park (like one of my faves, the Way Way Back) #MSWL
Anti-#MSWL I’m not a fit for books centered on pregnancy or pregnancy loss. Would love a content warning if it’s a small piece of your story, but another agent would work better if that’s the theme or focus
