Yes I’m aware I’m late to the party, but I can’t remember the last time I fell in love with a protagonist as hard as I fell for Eleanor Oliphant. Send me your brilliant, satirical, messy, utterly lovable heroines taking charge of their own lives #mswl
Stephanie Stein @stephlysteinThis moment will never not be epic. Thanks to everyone who was rooting for me on tonight’s @Jeopardy! You all know I never would have lost to anything less than a record-breaker. 😆 pic.twitter.com/hD75JoWhsu
Now someone send me a YA contemporary with a character like Stephanie appearing on the high school Jeopardy tournament! 👍🏼 I love stories about smart girls! #mswl
Fun YA books. Goofy fantasy. Stupid, dumb idiots on a stupid, dumb quest. Rules that make no sense. Characters who are in on the joke.
I’d love to see more manuscripts like this in my inbox! #MSWL
I have just realized that one of my absolute favorite things in middle grade is suspicious, secret architecture in weird old houses. Secret passage? Yes, please. Hidden staircase? Thank you, ma’am. Mysterious hallway to nothing? I’ll take two. So, you know, #MSWL for that.
I may have said this already, but people mostly send me Christmas romance. If you've got G-rated winter, spring, June wedding, summer, or fall harvest romances, I'd like to see them. 🙂 Guidelines here: bit.ly/2TYk2Qk #MSWL #WritingCommunity
Beto Blocker (AKA Michael Bourret) @MichaelBourret@agentsaba @abuckslater It’s just a personal fave. One of the few books I’ve reread. For me, it hits that commercial/literary sweet spot perfectly. Smart enough to make you feel smart, but accessible enough to be read easily (even at its length).
Tamy Emma Pepin @TamyEmmaPepinCongratulations to Katie Bouman to whom we owe the first photograph of a black hole ever. Not seeing her name circulate nearly enough in the press.
Amazing work. And here’s to more women in science (getting their credit and being remembered in history) 💥🔥☄️ pic.twitter.com/wcPhB6E5qK
