Feeling a little down about the idea of working from home, and from the realization that I likely won't travel to Chicago next month and see my family. Agents, now would be a GREAT time to slide into my inbox with a heartwarming and cutesy picture book! #MSWL

Another #MSWL for 2020, off of a recent email from @JuniperJazzz, who comped her second book to an anime. Agents, if a book you represent feels tonally like an anime, I want to see it!

Thinking on my 2020 #MSWL and what I'd really like to see in my inbox are monstrous girls (maybe literally!) and the cinnamon rolls that love them

Editor
My dudes (because it is always the dude writers), it does not give a female main character βstrengthβ to be sexually assaulted for the sake of βcharacter buildingβ in her first chapter. It just shows that youβre a hack. Consider this my anti-#MSWL.

Iβm not much of a horror fan, but it just struck me that Iβd love to see a YA along the lines of IT FOLLOWS. Something scary as hell that addresses teen sexuality (but is sex-positive, not moralizing) #mswl

Recently finished watching Love Alarm on Netlix and boooo hissss that ending but also #MSWL, I want a YA in that vein!βThat veinβ = exploring the way technology impacts our lives in an interesting new way. If your YA novel could be described as βlike Black Mirror but fluffy,β I want to see it.

Finally saw ABOUT TIME this weekend and so loved it. Agents, just a reminder that lightly speculative projects grounded in our world are EXTREMELY my jam. #MSWL

This, as a YA book, please! #MSWL npr.org/sections/pictuβ¦

Our whole office has been talking about the Fyre festivals docs and I have a new #mswl: a YA horror/thriller set at a musical festival gone wrong. Give me this book!!!

Editor
A #mswl for a future day: angry girls. Give me your righteous, angry girls, and letβs have them burn the world to the ground.

Olympics means Olympian-inspired #MSWL...I want a book about a teenage girl whose mom is her coach a la Mikaela Shiffrin and her mother. Fascinated by that dynamic.

How Cambodian Refugees Started the Pink Doughnut Box Trend β bit.ly/2htYl4n pic.twitter.com/KhSyMC7IpGVery specific #MSWL: a YA about a Cambodian-American teen whose family runs a donut shop. Sounds delicious. π©π

YA where the parents are like, real characters. Not dead. Not absent. But there and actually parents #MSWLYES, and: a YA about a fraught mother/daughter relationship. #MSWL

Editor
A YA about a weird, immersive summer job & all the relationships that come out of it. Adventureland for teens. #MSWL

Editor
I just watched Little Witch Academia & it was my favorite. Badass lil witches learning about magic & how to be friends. MG, I think. #MSWL

Editor
A complicated, messy, heartbreaking, hysterical, ultimately loving story about female friendship in YA. #MSWL

Editor
A YA about a teen's devotion to a craft (a sport, an instrument, etc) and what that means for the other aspects of their life. #MSWL
