Contemporary romances! I'm looking for book-heavy reads like BOOK LOVERS; career-heavy reads like THE EX TALK; romances that talked grad school like LOVE IN THE TIME OF SERIAL KILLERS; romances that explored fandom like SPOILER ALERT; and sweet & emotional reads like REEL!

Also in contemporary romance: melodramatic romance. HUGE emotions, big plot twists, big conflict. Messy characters who don’t always act in their own best interests in the heat of the moment. This is where I’d love to see my fave hero type: the jerk with secret feelings. #mswl

So many teens are reading a particular author, but I really would LOVE an authentic teen contemporary romance. The emotional rollercoaster. The disapproving parents. Messy. Concentual. Sweet. NOT written for adults--think the new season of Ginny and Georgia.

My middle grade list is fairly full, so I am only looking for: magical realism, contemporary, or mystery series (or with series possibility).

I'm also manifesting something heist-y! Whether that's contemporary and hilarious like COUNTERFEIT or a historical masterpiece like THE HOUSEKEEPERS (coming this summer), I'm open to anything in this space.

My women's fiction list is a little full; I'll be focusing on suspense, thrillers, book club historical, and contemporary novels with an edge for the first half of 2023.
