I would love to see horror or projects with series potential. Though my adult list is very full at the moment and is where I’m least looking to grow at the moment!

✨MG/YA MSWL✨

I would love to see work from Indigenous creatives especially in contemporary and speculative projects. Contemporary GNs. Mysteries and thrillers. And overall works that explore growing up whether that be its struggles or not.

I love character-driven picture books with fun and special characters, nature and STEAM themes, and books that stem from the author’s childhood or love of their culture.

I’m excited to see work from creatives who have a love for children’s books and have built a portfolio that focuses on children’s lit and the diversity of our kids. I’m also excited for contemporary and speculative GNs (pls no adult GNs)

YA/NA #MSWL: I am looking for a horror from a BIPOC writer that can be comp’d to The Hacienda/Mexican Gothic/She Is a Haunting/Bad Witch Burning. And YA contemporary fantasies from BIPOC writers who are also interested in writing MG.

MG #MSWL: I am looking for a grounded science fiction story set five minutes in the future that’s Super 8 meets The Arrival/Tales From The Loop/DEVS (but from an MG perspective), and which also includes a strong parental presence.

Early Reader #MSWL: If you’re a BIPOC author-illustrator with the start of a GN novel series like Narwhal and Jelly with the laugh out loud moments of Supertato PBs, I’d love to hear from you.

PB #MSWL: I would love to partner with an author-illustrator with a dummy that uses monochromatic/B&W illustrations with minimal colors. Examples:
