#MSWL I'd love to see wuxia or xianxia stories from Asian writers or the diaspora, either in YA/MG. I find stories from Asian history and folklore fascinating and want to see more from authors from those cultures. But I'm not interested if it's from a cultural appropriation self-insert perspective.

Happy #MSWL Day! I’m an acquiring editor for Entangled. For both YA and Adult, I’m actively seeking commercial / high-concept stories. I’m open to most genres as long as there’s a strong romantic element.

For YA & Adult, I’m looking for grounded fantasy. I’m not typically the one for fantasy-fantasy. I love a “our world but weird/witchy/magical/supernatural.” NINTH HOUSE is one of my all-time favorites (I have a tattoo for it) & I also loved working with S.Isabelle on her debut YA, THE WITCHERY #MSWL

#mswl and in either YA or adult, some of my conceptual 'white whales' include:
Afrofuturism in the vein of Octavia Butler or Rivers Solomon
Zany, (anti-)historical fiction, like My Lady Jane or Glorious Exploits
Anything centered around the 2010s YouTube vlogger era
A K-pop sasaeng thriller (!!)

#mswl in YA fiction, i'd love:
Historical fiction set outside the US/Western Europe.
Scholarship kids at old-money schools.
Bubblegum thrillers and queer horror.
2010s-style dystopias with marginalized teens at the forefront.
Animated Barbie movie vibes (bonus points for fairies or mermaids).

I am on the hunt for fantasy! YA/NA/adult. Grounded worldbuilding, complex characters, propulsive plot. Sweep me away!
