And, finally, and in perpetuity until I find it, give me a funny, commercial middle-grade mystery series told in first person by a BIPOC lead! #MSWL

I’m also interested in a friendship YA or MG that comps to SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS, but with an entirely BIPOC cast. #MSWL

I’d also like to find a YA rom-com *with speculative elements*—perhaps featuring the paranormal or some light magic. #MSWL

I would love to find a juicy YA drama or thriller with strong characterizations and a rich setting (BIG LITTLE LIES, but make it diverse and YA and set in a fresh, intriguing location). #MSWL

Hey, writers! I’m once again caught up on queries and eager to find my next client! Here's what I'd love to find... 🧵 #MSWL

To begin with, I’m prioritizing BIPOC creators and, more broadly, writers from marginalized or underrepresented backgrounds, with an eye out for disabled writers. #MSWL

Happy #IndigenousPeoplesDay. It's an apt moment for agents (like me!) and publishers to recommit to elevating Native voices. Native creatives, my inbox is open: querymanager.com/query/kristino… #NativeVoices #MSWL

I’m on a serious hunt for a funny, commercial middle-grade mystery series a la Stuart Gibbs. Sharp characters, a strong voice, and neat plotting, pretty please. #MSWL

I would love to find a suspenseful YA mystery/thriller that plays with form, chronology, or narration. It’s is a great genre to play around with social constructs, too, and I love subversion. (Think: Gillian Flynn) #MSWL

Intersectionality is really important to me, and I’d be very excited to see all of the below featuring characters that are not straight or are not white (or both). #MSWL

Generally speaking, I’m a voice-first reader who is looking for escapism and/or laughter, boundary-pushing, and writers brave enough to flip conventions on their heads. Surprise me! #MSWL
