House-bound #MSWL I’m looking for the next big YA or adult rom-com with a unique, compelling premise and #diverse characters #OwnVoices #MSWL #makemecry

More #ownvoices queer and trans love stories in YA would be excellent! And YA graphic novels, too.

YA / crossover is the big one, and there I'm looking for new takes on big commercial / genre, as well as funny, uplifting, voice-led novels, and (always) teen books full of sex, politics and content that teenagers actually want to read but that gatekeepers are sh*t scared of...

“I’d really love to get more YA horror in my inbox. Smart horror. I don’t want gore, I want a story that creeps me out, and asks questions I don’t want answers to.” @ericsmithrocks #MSWL ericsmithrocks.com/mswl

I'm largely a kids and YA agent, but I do also represent adult work - especially bold non-fiction with a clear hook and (often) socially progressive aspect - feminism; socialism; environmentalism; internationalism; mental health; prison reform - I'd love to see it.

Literary Agent
I also love horror horror - YA, middle-grade, even commercial-literary adult fiction. Creepy, cinematic psychological horror with some kind of genre twist or social justice message would be an absolute dream.

If you have THE VILLAGE meets Neil Gaiman's STARDUST but for mermaids, hit me. (the mermaids should be the monster) #MSWL #YA Thanks @Almost_Anna for that comp!

I was obsessed especially with the early T H I C K books. The later skinny ones didn’t appeal as much (though I still read them). I think the fat ones made me feel like I was reading very adult books. Favorite? Probably Hollywood hopeful Roxanne, set in 1938. pic.twitter.com/jPfhJhJcBnI was obsessed with this entire line. Obsessed! I would love to rep an awesome YA historical romance ala Sunfire! #mswl

“I read widely in YA, and enjoy just about every genre in it. I love moving contemporary reads, thrilling sci-fi, and lush fantasy.” @ericsmithrocks #MSWL ericsmithrocks.com/mswl

Shira Schindel @Shiras24
@leslie_zampetti These ideas are awesome (I'd SO love to read them!), and also, I've yet to see a mainstream YA romance with two MO characters, or Conservative characters, or really almost anything mainstream without a bar/bat mitzvah, inter-faith relationship, or the Holocaust.

Westminster Dog Show @WKCDOGS
Clocking in at 29.35 seconds, P!NK and Jennifer Crank became the 2020 Masters Agility Champions. Do you think you could keep up? pic.twitter.com/XpNboI7NbsI want the MG or YA book about a junior handler in dog shows.
My family comes from the dog show world, so it's near and dear to my heart. #MSWL
