Since my slush pile will be reopening June 1, here's an updated #MSWL for holes in my current list:

I will be on vacation from June 13-22, and so that makes sense to me as a trial run for this new method. I'll give as many reminders as I can in the meantime, and I will still only be open to Adult & YA, SFF & romance.

Important: Do not submit to me anything that contains generative AI material.

I'd also like grounded fantasy or magical realism, sci fi, dystopian, paranormal, and select romance. Additionally, I'm seeking contemporary, coming-of-age stories with characters from low-income families and historical fiction featuring historically underrepresented identities.

YOUNG ADULT #YA
Vibrant and bold young adult novels with exceptional pacing and a distinct voice. My priorities in this space are horror (bonus points if rooted in folk lore) and mystery/thriller stories with a BIPOC main character.

Just binged Maxton Hall on Amazon & it is literally everything I love in YA enemies to lovers. Class disparity, broken characters. Messy lives. Academic/boarding school vibe. Strong secondary characters. YA to NA vibe. This is a #MSWL . Closing soon but give me 👀 if you have it.
