I have been flying (pun intended🚀) through episodes of For All Mankind and would love to see a book in a similar vein - speculative/alternate history about the widespread societal ramifications of one small change to the timeline #mswl
*Historical stories that are feminist af
*Girls kissing girls
*Stories where the plot doesn't revolve around getting the guy
*Fantasies that feel fresh
*Make me laugh
this means love stories ♥️, horror 👻, contemporary, scifi 🤖, speculative, & more!!
RRP is known for mythology & magic, & while those remain the pillars this imprint is built on, id love to see stories that explore culture & identity in new & unexpected ways (3/6)
Looking forward to taking pitches @ 2021 San Diego Writing Workshop (VIRTUAL) on May 14-15.

My #MSWL: Speculative, including YA & Middle, Romance, Erotica, genre-bending and everything marginalized voices especially sought
Reminder that I'm always on the lookout for dark academia books in YA & Adult especially by BIPOC authors!
Anything including a speculative element, solving a mystery, challenging the elitism of higher education, and a close knit group of friends are 👌
Andrew Nurnberg Associates @nurnberg_agencyCalling all #fiction writers, we will be making weekly call-outs on behalf of agents @JennySavill1 and @ce_seymour. We're looking particularly for writers from underrepresented backgrounds but are open to all, as always, and can't wait to hear from you!
In our first call-out, @JennySavill1 would like to see literary ghost stories and speculative fiction, perhaps with a touch of creeping horror. Please submit as per our guidelines: andrewnurnberg.com/submissions/ #MSWL #Fiction #WritingCommunity
In YA, i still love most genres and everything from light to dark. I love hope and depth and humor and stories that can change lives, whether from joy or empathy and validation. More specifically:
1. Super high concept contemporary and speculative contemporary
#mswl cont ⬇️
Horror / Speculative:
Grounded horror or speculative fiction that is creepy and unsettling, but rooted in the real world.
Think LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND, and THE CABIN AT THE END OF THE WORLD.
Other Favorites: Jennifer McMahon, Simone St. James and Alex North.
Hey Twitter. Some updates to my #MSWL:
My picture book list is quite full, so I am TEMPORARILY closing to PBs. I remain open to illustrators.
I'm very eager to find: ADULT mystery, crime, domestic suspense and horror/speculative fiction.
Been meaning to mention that I have an editor #MSWL page a la @ManuscriptWList.
#Writers: this may also be a helpful starting point to see what a #literaryagent is looking for in #submissions.
Madeleine Milburn Agency @MMLitAgencyAssociate Agent @liv_maidment wants to see your submissions! Find out what she's looking for here: bit.ly/31bTMmP pic.twitter.com/o5AsZP44OC
Send me your manuscripts, I can't wait to read them! 😊 📚📚📚 #mswl
"Immersive speculative YA fiction like Children of Blood and Bone by Toni Adeyemi, Empress of a Thousand Skies by Rhoda Belleza, and Beasts Made of Night by Tochi Onyhebuchi." @msmariavicente #MSWL mariavicente.com/representation
1: High-concept contemporary is what’s making my heart sing right now. I recently read SHINE by Jessica Jung and devoured it. That said, hints at the speculative are always special for me. (Focus on hints.)
I finished line editing a client’s gorgeous MS that’s a family saga with a speculative twist, & I feel like I know generations of a whole town’s worth of people so intimately. Please send me more family sagas with speculative twists. I would so love more books like this. #MSWL
I'd love to see some more #adult projects in my inbox. #speculative, #contemporary, #historical, #romcom--I'm open to almost ANYTHING, but looking for a great hook & great voice. Something that I'll have hard time putting down #mswl #a (still also looking for #MG & #YA)
