My wishlist in a nutshell: diaspora, liminal spaces, counterintuitive, memoir w/ reportage, food, social horror, mythology, light speculative, NYC stories, historical, contemporary, multigenerational. And always, always prioritizing intersectional work from marginalized writers.

YA:
- Would love some more big romance with a hook. Smart and swoony. If there's an irreverent quality to it (ala VIOLET MADE OF THORNS), all the better.
- Speculative twists and hooks. Splashes of magic or sci-fi.
- Books that feel like going on a vacation somewhere exciting.

#mswl SF (broadly defined) & speculative literary. But weird. I want more weird. Absurdity. Humans with two heads and shit. Stuff that's funny & dark. Books that go too far.
