I'd also love to see some #Caribbean/#Latinx post-Hurricane Irma/Maria stories, stories that tackle the issues head-on but in a hopeful way, with a romance or personal growth for the main characters. Also YA or Adult.

Happy #MSWL day! If I don’t get a romance/women’s fiction submission about a 30-year-old Latinx woman who’s throwing her quinceañera part 2 (aka the one she never had) and finally gets the boy who got away, I will flip. Think Never Been Kissed meets The Wedding Singer con azucar.I might just scream and never stop if this appeared in the @RootLiterary submission inbox. #MSWL

I'm not normally a "foodie" reader but I would read the crap out of an enemies to lovers romance about rival restaurant owners, one who serves CaliMex (THE BEST) and one who serves TexMex. As long as CaliMex wins, obviously #MSWL twitter.com/ElleKeck/statu…As a Texan, I would read the crap out of this, but I have to say: only TexMex would win. #MSWL
Though I do love CaliMex.
Also, TWEET CUTE is such a comp for this.

As long as CaliMex wins, obviously #MSWL twitter.com/ElleKeck/statu…OMG. I LOVE this idea. I edited @elisalorello's PASTA WARS a few years back and adored working on a foodie book. As a Top Chef-fanatic and homesick Texan, I fully support this idea. But the TexMex chef wins. 😉 #MSWL

I'm also often drawn to books with strong water elements. Moody lighthouse keepers! Sleepy coastal towns! Ship captains! Merpeople! If there's lots of fog and salt air, I'm likely to be intrigued. (This goes for both romance and mystery.) #MSWL

#MSWL Looking for some sassy, sexy historical romances: ruined rogues making good...a Lady not afraid to go after her desires... Vikings and Medieval eras as well. #ownvoices welcome

Also, according to my high school writing journal, one of my long-standing favorite things in romance is an extremely, explosively hot person who's deeply into their more average-looking love interest. #MSWL

SPEAKING of tropes, have you heard about Carina Adores, our new contemporary romance trope-driven LGBTQ+ line? I would love to see your submissions. You can find more info here: carinapress.com/blog/carina-ad… #MSWL

Historical romance with protagonists of color and queer leads. More. Of. This. PLEASE. #MSWL

Give me something like the Crowley/Aziraphale pairing dynamic in Good Omens, but overt romance. (Yes, even more overt than that.) Doesn't have to be paranormal—I'm talking loose character types here. #MSWL

Magical realism is a thing I absolutely love. Think Practical Magic, but more romance. #MSWL
