I will also add there is a tendency when looking at YA fantasy to over-simplify with "This fairy tale/classic re-telling is overdone" but when you look at it, it's all white/western retellings. I am 100% open to retellings from new perspectives. #MSWL #AskECLA

#MSWL Who must I sell my soul to for a fantasy retelling of A ROOM WITH A VIEW? The manners, the beauty, the romance. The whole book (and movie) feels like you've walked straight into an impressionist painting, and I want that but, like, with magic.

random #MSWL request: I really want to see an update/retelling of Louisa May Alcott's An Old-Fashioned Girl. Polly/Tom FTW. #ifyouknowyouknow

I'm not your ideal editor for high fantasy worlds, but I do love grounded fantasy, magical realism, retellings, time travel, and speculative twists in both MG & YA

πΌ While we're on Broadway: a retelling that feels as fresh and topical but perfectly, wholly, inevitably classic as Hadestown. Also very much looking for retellings/riffs on folklore and legend that decolonize and reclaim magic from white patriarchy (think LEGENDBORN) #MSWL

Mystery/adventure such as Da Vinci Code/ National Treasure. The Holiday but make it a book. Fairy tale retelling. Magical realism. πβοΈβοΈ

Oh what I would give for some YA and crossover historical dramas. Iβm talking period pieces, assassin stories, retellings set in their original time periods, royal courts and political intrigue π
Please give me books where I can fan cast this man

I keep thinking about this article on TikTok and mental health. There's got to be YA novel in this, or maybe a retelling of The Crucible. #MSWL

Looking for ALL the graphic novel ghost stories! More more boo than blood and more spooky than scary for MG, but I'm all in for YA and Adult. Have a headless horseman retelling? Yes, please.
