For MG readers, I’m keen to find a funny, female focused story with series potential (think Louise Rennison or Karen McCombie) and an adventure story for that age group too. I love anything creepy and spooky, so please send anything like that along to me too.

In YA, I’d love to find a big epic love story that’s contemporary and someone writing horror for this age group too. I loved A Good Girls Guide to Murder and would be keen to see anything akin to that.

In Non-Fiction, I’m always on the lookout for good narrative writing and memoir on the issues we’re facing in the world today. I also have particular interest in people writing about film, music and popular culture.

I’m also really keen on black comedy, I loved My Sister the Serial Killer and would love to find writing in that vein as well as big juicy regional family drama that spans generations.

In fiction I’d love to see high concept love stories for both commercial and reading group/literary crossover readers. I’m keen to see historical fiction and gothic horror - think Stacey Halls, Laura Purcell and Bridget Collins.

I'm looking for a fantastic and smart heist novel, whether set in a contemporary world or speculative. If it has multi-pov or a crew, SIGN ME UP.

Overall themes I'd like:

- Grey morality
- Small town settings with intricate interpersonal relationships
- Angst
- Soft boys, especially those who can admit feelings
- Slow burn romance
- Enemies to lovers
- Childhood best friends
- Fae (think Holly Black)

I want MORE Latinx writers and stories. I'm Puerto Rican so would love to see some of my culture reflected back as well as Latinx authors who write Magical Realism.

My list is pretty speculative so I'd love more contemporary! Anything that explores platonic and romantic relationships, family, growing up, difficult decisions, etc.

Across the board, I'd love to see more disability/chronic pain representation.

Characters who are not "broken" or seen through a lens of pity, but fully fleshed out and granted agency.

I'd love a southern gothic novel. Creep me out whether with the grotesque or psychologically. Make the setting come alive.

If you have a friendship breakup book, especially following the aftermath (in MG or YA), then I'd love to see it. Or even friends who realize they're not right for each other anymore.

I would love an academia book, especially if it explores the shortcomings, privilege, and elitism of higher education.

I'd like this even more so with an ensemble cast or a tight knit group of scholars.

I'd really love to see a polyamorous relationship. There are too little of these and often misrepresented. If you have this in an adult literary work, that better be the first query I get. 😂

As always, I'm on the lookout for queer representation. I'd particularly love to see:

1. More identity discovery/first crushes in MG
2. Sapphic YA rom-coms
3. More queer works by BIPOC authors
4. Queer stories w/ happy endings
5. Supportive queer found families
