Friend breakups (I mean good, longterm, very close and intimate friendships) are, in my experience, much more emotionally devastating than romantic breakups. And yet, unlike romantic relationships, we have almost no socialization (even in media images) on how to navigate them.THIS IS WHY I AM ALWAYS ASKING FOR FRIENDSHIP BREAKUP STORIES. #MSWL

I read & watch ANYTHING that explores female friendship in all its messiness. In the past 2 weeks I’ve consumed/been consumed by: The Lightness by @knownemily, The All Night Sun by @DianeZinna, Betty, Assassination Nation, and Fort Tilden. Vastly different, all interesting. #mswl

There are not nearly enough YA mysteries in my inbox. I want stories full of secrets and intricately woven storylines with friendship/enemies/romance at the core.Think: Pretty Little Liars, One of Us is Lying, Revenge, Twisted, The Lying Game

YA: the MC needs to have a strange interest that teaches me something new. I don't do super heavy (sexual assault, addiction, abuse, suicide), and I like to laugh. Not a good fit for sad w/o humor. Quirky voice gets me every time. I love female friendship/empowerment and spooks.

Friends I have watched almost the entire 1st season of Haikyu!! and I cannot believe I've slept on it for this long. So good!! 🏐 pic.twitter.com/B1Ob58kuctAlso I #MSWL the heck out of these friendships & rivalries! I want more strong bonds, relationships that evolve & friends that make mistakes & learn together.
More characters who'll never stop fighting for their dreams because they know their friends are there to support them.

What am I missing in my inbox?
1. I want smushy sweet romance that makes me tear up when I read--like LOVE, VICTOR or LOVE, SIMON or RED WHITE and ROYAL BLUE.
2. I want relationships that are full of friendship and happiness, especially written with a cast of diverse characters.
