Going down a YA murder mystery rabbit-hole & I can’t help but wonder what a YA suspense from the killer’s perspective would read like, with readers totally unaware until the end. It would take a crazy level of plotting and imagination to pull it off & have it be a surprise. #MSWL
Alice S-H @alibelleSlightly weird feeling removing "Rights Agent" from my signature, as I'm no longer working on international rights after nearly three and a half years.
I'm now solely primary agenting and I'm super excited to have more time and space to dedicate to it!
With that in mind, send me your work! I'm looking for MG-YA including graphic novels, and illustrators across all ages. I want fun, fresh and escapist books with a phenomenal voice and a clear hook. Looking forward to reading!
#MSWL Would love to see some YA high fantasy that's not super complex / end-of-the-world serious.
Gimme a queer rom-com between a blacksmith and an adventurer who keeps breaking their equipment or something, idk. Surprise me!
Something that gives me those silly D&D vibes 😉❤️
Was just chatting with @mer_barnes about BILLY ELLIOT and now I'm crying over "Electricity" again. I will say this until I get it, but I desperately want a YA project about a male ballet dancer in HS. What was Billy's life once he got to the academy? #mswl youtube.com/watch?v=muBrh7…
Brooks Sherman (OPEN to queries!) @byobrooksHi all, after walking around NOLA with @runwithskizzers and refreshing my memory about the infamous Casket Girls (look them up!), I’m officially putting it out there that I would love love LOVE a YA novel that is a vampire version of The Craft. #mswl 😱💀🌙
Rianna Cohen @riannacohen@UweStenderPhD Any inbox trends you can share? Also, what have you read and loved recently?
I WANT YA ROM-COMs. #MSWL.
I loved The Silent Patient, 8 Perfect Murders, Wann wird es endlich wieder so wie es nie war, Die Therapie, Drive Through Dreams.
Jalissa @jmarcellecorrieSince vampires are back, can someone write a YA vampire comedy along the lines of WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS?? I'd read the hell out of that pic.twitter.com/s5g9pMlEeY
This is at the *top* of my #MSWL
rachel strolle @recitrachelSince I’ve been rewatching Buffy, I realized I would love a YA anthology that features stories of characters who come into contact with the same vampire over hundreds of years.
One who hunts them, one who nearly dies because of them, one who loves them, one who kills them
Ummm yes please! Multi pov for the win! #mswl
Kelly is OPEN to Queries @LitAgentKellyI just spent the last few hours watching The Half Of It, and then spent a lot of time and energy realizing the absolute brilliance of the emotional depth and reality of this movie. If anyone has this as a comp title...I really, really would love it right now. #MSWL pic.twitter.com/h652JbvTnY
And listen, here’s the thing: I’m good with romance being messy and not always ending well, but the only contemporary stories I find that aren’t HEA YA romance are usually about suicide. Where are the middle ground manuscripts which this movie SO EXCELLENTLY defined?! #MSWL
