I would love to see a YA (or upper MG) that focuses on the teen activist movement. Whether contemporary or historical, I want to see honest portrayals of how teens organize and mobilize. #MSWL

In kidlit more broadly (PB-YA) I am on the hunt for more NF that teaches and inspires in a fun accessible way. I lean towards non-fiction that focuses on a specific event or person, that really digs in to give us a clear picture as opposed to broad themes #MSWL

Horror & horror. All types & ages (mg, ya, adult). Could be super scary. Psychological. Thriller. Mystery. Warm Bodies-esque. Odd Thomas-esque. Any way you slice it. #MSWL

Happy #MSWL day! I just watched ALWAYS BE MY MAYBE on Netflix and would love to see a fun foodie #YA #ms like that which delivers big on ethnic flavors amidst a fun #RomCom setting. I’d also love to see more #NF or graphic NF aimed at middle graders!

For Young Adult, my biggest #MSWL is fun, lighthearted novels by POC and LGBTQ+ writers. I see so many submissions for issues-based stories—which we need, don't get me wrong—but I want to put a little more joy into the lives of teen readers who already deal with so much shit.

My #mswl hasn't changed - still wanting books about clowns & queerness related to trickster figures, still wanting all types of found families, still wanting MG horror & spoop, I would LOVE more picture book illustrators, & a comedic YA protag coping w ED (incidental, not plot).

YA Horror where the thing to fear is more than just a dude with a machete. Something chilling and lurking, like It Follows or The Babadook. #MSWL
