For science fiction, I’m looking for space opera and science fantasy like GIDEON THE NINTH, SOME DESPERATE GLORY and THE SCOURGE BETWEEN STARS. It doesn’t need to be fast and loud – TO BE TAUGHT, IF FORTUNATE is a favourite – but it needs to have major sf elements.

I’m also looking for speculative romance in general, whether it has a big SFF element like THE UNDERTAKING OF HART AND MERCY and WINTER’S ORBIT or a romance with speculative elements like WITCHFUL THINKING and THE EX HEX.

This is incredibly specific, but I’d love a science fiction novel or novella that explores AI in a way that feels like Catherine Weaver from The Sarah Connor Chronicles. #mswl
