Non-fiction, in general. I would love to see more pop culture, music, psychology, science, history, business, lifestyle/wellness, and narrative non-fiction from a unique, engaging angle.

High heat contemporary romance and romantasy! (I’m always looking for low heat romance too, but I tend to see more of that in my inbox.) #MSWL

Small town contemporary/women’s fiction with elements of romance, in the vein of SWEET MAGNOLIAS and VIRGIN RIVER. Deals with big topics in a warm, community-focused setting. #MSWL

Thrillers! Think psychological or domestic, rather than supernatural. I’m not the best fit for mystery or crime, but I love when mysteries or crimes occur in thrillers. #MSWL

Contemporary novels in the upmarket and literary space! I love workplace novels, complicated relationships (platonic, romantic or familial), and second coming of age stories. #MSWL

Send me contemporary fiction that gets a little weird, like the virgin birth premise of SMALL PLEASURES, the animal illness of SHARK HEART and the eerie horror of OUR WIVES UNDER THE SEA.

I love mystery thrillers that explore a ‘true’ crime and its repercussions. Think A GOOD GIRL’S GUIDE TO MURDER, MY FLAWLESS LIFE, NOTHING CAN HURT YOU and JACKAL.

I’m looking for upmarket thrillers that use an engaging thriller premise to explore personal/social issues. THE ECHO WIFE and WHEN NO ONE IS WATCHING live rent-free in my brain.

I want gothic horror, space horror, psychological horror, folk horror, slasher horror, supernatural horror – scare me!

For science fiction, I’m looking for space opera and science fantasy like GIDEON THE NINTH, SOME DESPERATE GLORY and THE SCOURGE BETWEEN STARS. It doesn’t need to be fast and loud – TO BE TAUGHT, IF FORTUNATE is a favourite – but it needs to have major sf elements.

I’m always looking for EPIC FANTASY – give me big worldbuilding, multiple POVs, high stakes, and a cast of characters to get invested in.

Send me your cozy fantasy – meadows and cottages and stews and forests. I would love to see something Ghibli-esque that deals with big emotions and themes in a cozy setting.

Please don’t worry about something being too low or high heat to send to me. Different spice levels work for different books, and I’m open to all of it.

I’m also looking for speculative romance in general, whether it has a big SFF element like THE UNDERTAKING OF HART AND MERCY and WINTER’S ORBIT or a romance with speculative elements like WITCHFUL THINKING and THE EX HEX.
