I am going to open again to queries next Monday. I would really like to see a romance (either YA or mainstream adult) that will sweep me away, a character I will fall in love with in chapter 1, and to add more diversity to my list overall. #mswl QueryManager.com/1621

@esc_key My assumption is Lord Vetinari? Could be wrong, might be a MLM, like LuLaRoe, but for assassins.(Sorry I'm having Cabinet of Curiosities flashbacks.)
An assassin MLM is a great #MSWL idea.

@esc_key Clearly about 10 years. First a few unpaid internships, and then everyone knows you spend 2 years as an assassination assistant, then assistant assassin, and finally at associate assassin you get your own kills, and then assassin. 😂Now I have a #mswl about a girl with a dream who moves to the big city to live her dream of murder, but finds her company is shady.

I myself am particularly interested in Maya, Aztec and Egyptian mythology. But would LOVE to learn more about others.

tl;dr When I took a fantasy literature class in college, it started with British folklore, then King Arthur then LOTR. These are still the foundations of most fantasy stories. Why?

I'd also love to see historical fantasy (which is hard because you have to world build AND do tons of research, I know) about very specific times and places that aren't England during medieval times.

So I would love to see new new tropes emerge to decolonize the genre (both kidlit and adult). Or even to turn those traditions on their head. One book I offered on and still wish I got to rep was THE STAR TOUCHED QUEEN by @Roshani_Chokshi which mixed Indian and Greek mythology
