#MSWL - Anything that feels high concept and cinematic in YA, whether it’s sci-fi, fantasy, or contemporary with a speculative twist. Stories with big “what if” premises.

#MSWL - MIDDLE GRADE. Any and all middle grade! I am hungry for it: standalone contemporary, sweeping fantasy series, sci-fi, horror, you name it. I’d love something high concept, like CITY OF EMBER, NEVERMOOR, ARU SHAH & THE END OF TIME, etc.

Would love an adult sci-fi, or spec-fi with strong world-building centered on a Latinx culture, but also want it to have a very strong science fiction plot line. Would love Dune vibes. #MSWL

I desperately want to go to space right now! I'm not much of a hard #SF person; I love character-driven adventures with heart a la Becky Chambers, and more sweeping space operas (ragtag crews, seemingly impossible odds, battles and hijinks, and...ahem...some romance) #MSWL

Adult historical fantasy (show me a location or pivotal moment in history I've never seen in SFF)
Contemporary YA (show me how powerful& combustible teenage relationships are)

2. Books that offer a world of escapism such as fantasy and science fiction, etc.

3. Lighthearted and humorous books to lighten the mood.

I’d 🖤 a scifi novel about all the aliens who’ve been quietly monitoring us for years who suddenly show up all at the same time when they start getting satellite images back of our planet after it went “quiet” due to coronavirus #MSWL so I want worried mothering alien overlords!
