As a Korean-American, I'm on the hunt for anything that showcases my culture and heritage. I want to boost our stories across genres: contemporary, historical, SF/F...again, own-voices only. #mswl

Kat Kerr @thekatsmews · Mar 9

I am hungry for an adult multicultural literary novel. I am looking for something that not only addresses the cultural and generational divide, but also our very real flaws as human beings. Must be own-voices. #mswl

Cate Hart @CateHart · Mar 9

I just finished watching The Favourite and I have so many #MSWL wants. I want powerful women in historicals, as opposed to empowered, with power plays and antics, friendships and romance, deep nuanced character relationships and falling outs.

Hello my nonfiction writing friends! I have a TON of #mswl tweets for you this morning, so buckle up.

I often tease @wensday95 by saying I am the children's version of her #MSWL but you know what, these look really cool and if you send them to her, I wouldn't mind trying to find a YRE angle.

I am going to do 5 FEMINIST WISH LIST READS on this #InternationalWomensDay

2) I want to read the FEMINIST ending to the Kavanaugh Hearings. I want this story to be WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN. It would be dark and gut-wrenching, but I want CBF to have been HEARD and LISTENED to.

My middle grade submission interests are now up! You can check them out on my website! #amquerying #amagenting #mswl

Lauren Spieller @laurenspieller · Mar 8

I’d love to see more domestic suspense, psychological thrillers, and creepy thriller/horror in the vein of Lauren Beukes! #mswl

YA books comped to anything Meg Cabot has written #MSWL

Brit E. B. Hvide @bhvide · Mar 8

Can someone write me a book about an alien and a space marine falling tragically and hopelessly in love? THANK YOU. #MSWL

Amanda Jain @wensday95 · Mar 8

So, as you can see, my nonfiction tastes are pretty varied, and I'm open to seeing a range of projects. If you have something you think would be a great fit, you can find my submission guidelines and upload your materials at QueryMe.Online/AmandaJain. #mswl

MEMOIR: I'm interested in memoirs that have a really interesting hook like Rachael Hanel's WE'LL BE THE LAST ONES TO LET YOU DOWN. Sarah Smarsh's HEARTLAND bowled me over with its writing, and I'm looking forward to reading Casey Gerald's THERE WILL BE NO MIRACLES HERE. #mswl

Amanda Jain @wensday95 · Mar 8

But I would love to see some projects that open up this space and give a wider perspective. Books like Rahawa Haile's forthcoming IN OPEN COUNTRY and Edward James Mills' THE ADVENTURE GAP are great examples. #mswl

TRAVEL / THE OUTDOORS / THE WORLD AT LARGE: Who doesn't love a good armchair exploration? Bonus points if it makes me laugh or combines travel with history. Bill Bryson and Tony Horwitz are favorites of mine... #mswl

Amanda Jain @wensday95 · Mar 8

MATERIAL CULTURE: The subject I studied in grad school, and a topic near and dear to my heart. Lara Maiklem's MUDLARK, Marilyn Johnson's LIVES IN RUINS, Glenn Adamson's FEWER, BETTER THINGS, and Samuel Redman's BONE ROOMS are all great examples. #mswl
