Serpent & Dove is an honorable mention for the #MSWL for the genre mash-up. What I think is unique here is that there were alot of romance genre tropes and beats. I would love to see that approach done again.

A TREASON OF THORNS was so atmospheric. I just loved the ambiance of that book. #MSWL

I loved the grounded fantasy of THE MERCIFUL CROW. It dealt with alot of issues, and had alot of themes working for it. #MSWL

I would love a dystopian that is smart and 2019 like THE GRACE YEAR. #MSWL

Writing wise, I feel like THE GRACE YEAR, THE MERCILESS CROW, and A TREASON OF THORNS definitely captured the style I love the best. So writing #MSWL there.

Back at my desk with this #mswl thought from the holiday weekend: I would love a book about advice columns! (Do I read not one but several? Yes. Did I write one for my high school newspaper? MAYBE.)

"Quirky cookbooks that explore topics that are hard to find in the bookstore, or haven't been explored at all. Odd, single subject books tend to grab me quickly. If you think your project is too niche, I might be right for you." @ericsmithrocks #MSWL ericsmithrocks.com/mswl

It's Monday; you know what that means...Time for another #MSWL! Liza would love to see a book (fiction or nonfiction) having to do with Korea, in the same vein as FOOD FOR MILLIONAIRES by Min Jin Lee.
Agent friends, I am now acquiring for the amazing team at @randomhousekids! DM or email me for my #MSWL, and let's chat over coffee, lunch, or phone!

My #MSWL part 6: I want all the MG!!! Give me cute & quirky, spooky, mysterious, funny, adventurous, magical--you name it. Probably not all in the same book, though. Show me familiar done with a different twist or something new. I want UNIQUE!!! #WritingCommunity #amquerying

My #MSWL part 5: In YA, I'd also love some creepy, scary, dark horror. This might surprise you, but I want something UNIQUE. Show me how your story is different from the rest. Give me goose bumps and keep me up at night!!! #WritingCommunity #amquerying

My #MSWL part 4: In YA, I'd love issue books that don't feel like issue books--it's a part of the story but not the main plot. Again, I'm looking for UNIQUE. I've seen a lot of stories about coming out and mental health. Give me something different! #WritingCommunity #amquerying

My #MSWL part 3: Adult: I would also love a near-future sci-fi with a UNIQUE angle. Make it more about science & not so much about aliens or Star Wars. Give me dark fantasy but something that hasn't been done to death. Show me worlds I haven't seen. #WritingCommunity #amquerying

My #MSWL part 2: I NEED adult horror--dark & creepy. If you have violence/gore, there needs to be a reason for it, not just "to entertain." You don't need either to make it a killer story. Premise must be UNIQUE. Scare me with your words. I dare ya! #WritingCommunity #amquerying
Literary Agent
My #MSWL part 1: I'm looking for adult thrillers--all kinds, but the premise has to be UNIQUE. It can be a serial killer, but what's different? Political, medical, any kind of thriller or psychological suspense, but show me how your story stands out. #amquerying #WritingCommunity
