Megan Manzano ~ Reopening to Queries 10/05 @Megan_Manzano
Since I'll be reopening to queries on 10/05, here is my official manuscript wishlist that has been updated!manuscriptwishlist.com/mswl-post/mega…
However I did promise a thread of what I'm looking for so here we go!
Countdown #MSWL Day 1:
My list does skew towards YA so I'd love MG everything!
Particuarly stories that begin to explore identity and sexuality. Especially with first crushes.
Happy Wednesday! Horror is a HUGE want for my #MSWL when I reopen tomorrow. I am searching for smart, spooky, atmospheric stories in MG, YA, and adult.

“I’d love to see a MG or YA spin doctor. Think the energy of Shirley and Jamila Save Their Summer meets the Good Wife's Eli Gold.” @readbystephanie #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/
I love relationships that grow stronger over time, so having a YA or MG story along the lines of Schitt’s Creek would blow my mind!
Time for my Tuesday #MSWL focused on...contemporary. In YA and MG I am always searching for strong characters that fight to change the world. Give me a teen/group of teens staging a protest and making things happen with their voices. #amagenting
In MG—yes there can be romance in MG—I really want that sweet and innocent first crush, first kiss, first hand holding. I want the feels to wrap around me like a warm blanket.

I’m celebrating my two-year agenting anniversary this week! I’m so proud of my clients, thankful for my TBA colleagues, and excited for all the things to come. pic.twitter.com/cjj3FMeJ1tI’m also still actively building my client list. Please see The Bent Agency’s website/MSWL for some updates on what I’m looking for. Right now I’m all about contemporary: YA, MG, and GN, especially from underrepresented communities. #MSWL

Here is my one and only #MSWL. I need a manuscript about MEDIA LITERACY. Picture book, middle grade, YA-- fiction or non-fiction. Give me a book to start the conversation about media literacy and I will give that book my undivided attention. (and you'll help save democracy)

If you’re a MG horror author who’s like “hm I think I’m gonna submit to that Savannah Brooks fellow, she seems cool” but don’t know what my ~spooky aesthetic~ is, I just finished reading THIRTEENS, and it nailed the location-based spooks I’m pining for. I want a spook town. #MSWL
