HarperCollins @KTegenBooks editorial, superhero fan, nerd, cookie lover. Author of BIRTHDAY ON MARS!
Nita Tyndall @NitaTyndallI’m watching National Treasure and I want more heist/treasure hunting books, especially YA (and queer.) It’s a genre we should revive.
(This is not a call for recommendations please do not respond with “have you read x”)
Vee Signorelli 🏳️⚧️📖 @findmereadingwait now I’m inspired. 😤 Would any Queer YA authors (or creators of any queer media in general) be interested in writing a short, affirming piece for queer fans that might be reeling from the end of Supernatural? Esp the teens? We could feature them in a round-up on YA Pride.
If anyone feels inspired . . . or wants to make this into a book . . . and maybe uh #MSWL 🙃
Dean Lines @deanlinesWhen I was like 14, me and a few mates would “wag” French class and hide out in the soundproof drum room until lunch time. This went on for a few weeks when one day we discovered a “trap door” beneath the carpet tiled floor under the drum kit. We of course opened the trap door.. twitter.com/spur_of/status…
This whole thread is my MG vibe and #MSWL
A Goldman @AGoldmundIf your phone sent texts randomly in the middle of the night last night, or you received texts people say they didn't send, please DM me. This appears to be epidemic.
Was this a massive conspiracy hatched by one person who forgot to text their SO on Valentine’s? What missing texts appeared? Why??Honestly IRL #MSWL
And my incredibly specific #MSWL: I would love to see a middle grade adventure that pulls off the tone, historical tie-ins, friendship drama, mystery, and overall excitement/escalation of NATIONAL TREASURE.
Jumping on the bandwagon to say: I would love to see more fun, upbeat middle grade focusing on siblings, friendship, crushes, and/or that silly joy of tween schemes. Show me failed matchmaking, plotting that got out of hand, the awkwardness of a friend-breakup. #MSWL
Eric Smith @ericsmithrocksI almost tweeted "YA rom-con" instead of "YA rom-com" and I officially want to read a YA contemporary novel about two teens planning a heist who OOPS also fall in love. #MSWL
See What's Next @seewhatsnextToday production began on "The Half Of It," a modern day Cyrano-meets-Pygmalion reimagining starring Leah Lewis as shy, straight-A student who helps the school jock woo the girl they both secretly love. pic.twitter.com/vHlj6sTrvV
Norse Mythology @NorseMythNewsRemember Saga, the girl who pulled the sword from the lake in Sweden? Now she tells her story. Hail the Valkyrie!
I said it before and I'll say it again: #MSWL
We’ve all seen highly illustrated early readers and chapter books about unlikely friends. Where are the unlikely enemies, in the vein of Tom & Jerry cartoons, with some I WANT MY HAT BACK-level dark humor? #MSWL
Brent Cizek @brentcizekphotoMAMA MERGANSER! I was able to track down the now famous Lake Bemidji Common Merganser that has an adopted brood of over 76 babies! I love the story that these photos tell.
