I love all fiction, with a soft spot for magical realism (think 100 YEARS, of course!). Lit fic, spec fic, and sci-fi are also high on my list. Fantasy like BLACK LEOPARD. Psych fiction that slowly unravels, like RED PILL. And not always, but sometimes, a great love story.

The top three things I'd love to see more of in my query inbox, in no particular order 📚 #MSWL

1. Romance of any subgenre, especially if it's queer or polyamorous
2. Contemporary fantasy with unique magic systems and lore
3. Gothic horror, particularly from marginalized voices

And women's fiction/romance with magical realism or a speculative twist, like You Were There Too and In Five Years.

In MG, I love heart-tugging, honest voices that are either grounded or have a slight magic touch. Think Tae Keller, Karina Yan Glaser, Rebecca Stead.
