I realize the vagueness of this #mswl, but I adore Melissa McCarthy with my whole being and I'd love to see some subs featuring protagonists that live with the same kind of heart, humor, and joy.

HUMOROUS VOICES! A lot of the contemporary I read and acquire has a witty/ funny narrator, and an author with a gift for humor (see: Cece in @SoniaHartl1's HAVE A LITTLE FAITH IN ME). Please, please send me your funny books! #MSWL

For picture books, I tend to lean towards a more commercial edge. And humor, with a heart of gold is 100% where my heart lies. #MSWL

YES elements: multi-generation, sibling stories, career-oriented women, sense of humor, reinterpreting classic or myth through an unsung character’s POV

Laughs. I need laughs. You need laughs. We all need laughs. Whether you’ve got quirky nonfiction criticism, dark humor, funny illustrated guides to getting by in life, or a novel that will have me laughing so hard I cry send it to me! #MSWL

YA: the MC needs to have a strange interest that teaches me something new. I don't do super heavy (sexual assault, addiction, abuse, suicide), and I like to laugh. Not a good fit for sad w/o humor. Quirky voice gets me every time. I love female friendship/empowerment and spooks.

#mswl I'd love to see: Adult HistFic featuring the Schuyler Sisters or is otherwise connected to our Founding Fathers. Also seeking Adult FBI/Police Procedural, with humor, and a Female lead.
