#mswl

Now reopened to queries! Updated my #mswl with everything I’m looking for but the pic shows my number 1 type of story/genre. This does not exclude the rest of my MSWL tho! #writingcommunity
#anquerying

In adult fiction I'm looking for...speculative horror/thriller, contemporary romance, philosophical sci-fi, fantasy with cozy magical realism, identity driven book club fiction #mswl

All I want right now is a Horror, Thriller, a Spec novel (YA or Adult) with time loops, parallel universes, or alternate realities #mswl Preferably dark and queer.

Think Oxenfree (video game), and Dark (Netflix, German).

I want it baaad.

Adult genre fiction, especially horror (send all your horror!!!), mystery/thriller, and romance. Selectively happy to consider sci-fi and fantasy.

And as many know I’ve spent a long time in children’s, and I’m still considering all children’s titles for Zando. Many more…

Hello 2026! As we get closer to the new year—and my query inbox reopening—it’s time for me to update what I’m looking for. I saw a lot of fabulous projects in 2025 (but more on that later), and I’m excited about what I might find in 2026. #mswl

YELLOWJACKETS YA survival horror #MSWL

If your stories have dark academia or gothic themes/settings, I want to see them. Cross genres like horror romance or dysto-mance are great. Religious horror is always fun. Fantasies from all cultures #questpit #mswl

I’m dipping into #questpit , but if I miss your pitch and you think we’d be a good fit, query me! I’m looking for horror, fantasy, and romance in YA, NA, and adult. Marginalized creators are my top priority.

If you’re in the Midwest and love kidlit, come hang out with me at the SCBWI Iowa Halloweekend Conference Oct 31–Nov 2! We’ll talk stories, characters, and maybe swap Halloween candy. 🍬 Who’s in?? (I neeeeeeeeed more YA Horror) #MSWL

Before I close to submissions in November, I want to see more horror in my inbox. It can be as scary (or as tame) as you like, for YA, NA, or Adult! #mswl #WritingCommunity

As always, I’d love to see horror (and every other genre!) from marginalized perspectives. BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and disabled creators, please send me your stories! #mswl

I’d really love Southern or Appalachian horror too! #mswl

Writers, I’m in the mood for horror. I want all of it—cozy horror, horror romance, gothic horror, and more—across YA, new adult, and adult. Send it my way! #mswl
