I would love to see horror or projects with series potential. Though my adult list is very full at the moment and is where I’m least looking to grow at the moment!

Horror:

I represent MG, young adult, & adult speculative fiction (including science fiction, fantasy, horror, & cross-genre books). In all age groups, my taste gravitates toward speculative fiction with subtle romance & lush prose. Horror, mystery, & romance elements are my soft spot.

😱On the horror side, I'm always looking for stories that explore difficult human experiences and heavy emotions. The Haunting of Bly Manor/Hill House are always my favourite comps.

UPDATE: I'm open to adult horror & adult nonfiction queries through Query Manager! Send me spooky and/or psychological horror. I LOVE dark!!! I’m okay with gore as long as it fits with the story and isn’t just there for the ick factor. #MSWL 1/2

I expect romance, even horror romance, to bring joy. That means a HEA, yes, but also if it’s past campy melodrama, it’s probably too dark for my tastes. And if one of the protagonists dies, it’s women’s fiction/upmarket, and I’m not looking to sign those. #MSWL

I love toxic homoerotic situationships. I'm sorry. This is Hannibal's fault (still). Basically, if you’re obsessed with ITWV, yes, that. I’m looking for that in Horror and Fantasy, though. Not romance. #MSWL

In Adult, I would particularly love a funny/satirical horror, a humorous, over-the-top mystery/thriller, or a locked room mystery in a spec fic setting.

I'm NOT typically the right fit for hist fic, military, police procedurals, high fantasy/sci-fi, dystopian, or literary fic.

I am also open to the following in Adult, though prefer if they have a strong romantic subplot:

-thriller/suspense
