#MSWL: MG writers! 📣

I’ve reopened QM to middle grade only, all genres except sci-fi.

My PM, MSWL, & website say “no horror,” but I’m now accepting MG horror because it’s the only level of horror I can handle. 😂

I’m planning to reopen to other genres in April. 🌷

I'm almost afraid to ask. Somehow this is terrifying which makes me #MSWL a horror with him as Villain. Nothing gross though. I don't do gross out. Just smart and terrifying.

YA/NA #MSWL: I am looking for a horror from a BIPOC writer that can be comp’d to The Hacienda/Mexican Gothic/She Is a Haunting/Bad Witch Burning. And YA contemporary fantasies from BIPOC writers who are also interested in writing MG.

Some #MSWL additions that I want right now… secret passageways in old houses, fully illustrated chapter books for all ages, Enola Holmes vibes, epistolary gothic horror with multiple narrators (like Dracula), fiber arts (Fiction or NF), STEM books heavy on the M.

A #MSWL update:
I’m no longer taking YA submissions. I’ll consider any YA subs that are already in my submissions folder, but will be focusing my attention solely on adult horror for Nightfire moving forward.

Deep sea horror/ cryptids will always be on my list though. If you have something like that query me at anytime #mswl
