I'll never not love & rep Children's books, but I am hungry for Adult titles in the up market genre-adjacent spaces; Suspense, Mystery, Speculative, SFF. Recent (to me) favorites include Marlon James, Lucy Foley, Katherine Arden, Kate Racculia, Britt Bennett, N.K. Jemisin. #MSWL

Agents, I would love to see more adult subs! I'm looking for upmarket book club fiction. If you have the next Kiley Reid, Raven Leilani, Celeste Ng, Silvia Moreno-Garcia, Brit Bennett, Camille Pagán, Asha Lemmie, or any other authors who write in this space, send my way! #MSWLI meant, who wouldn't #MSWL this list?

Early morning publishing thought: I want a children’s Horror imprint. Like all the creepy MG and YA. Maybe get a big name or two to launch the imprint while also giving marginalized voices the chance at having a popular horror series like Goosebumps or Fear Street.I'm afraid of the The Faustian Deal I would agree to if it meant a Goosebumps or Fear Street featuring characters and authors who have been historically barred from the genre *and* the in-house support to knock it out. #MSWL

Eternally here for YA Rosemary's Baby. Not in the super-natural sense, but in the social horror sense. #MSWL

Are any of my YA role models working on a book about the dangers of suburban white boys being recruited for extremist ideals over video games and Reddit? Because there need to be A LOT of books about it. @LitAgentMarini @halseanderson @JasonReynolds83 @angiecthomas @AcevedoWrites#MSWL y'all 👇👇👇

#MSWL horror please! Think the creepy, shadowy, social horrors. Fav's include THE WINTER PEOPLE or THE LONEY or ROSEMARY'S BABY or THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE or A HEAD FULL OF GHOSTS and lots of Mr. King, of course. But not so much the slasher fic kind.

#MSWL I always fall for the "best friends should be dating" trope but lately I'd also love a bff pair who love and admire one another's beautiful selves but also do not want to bang. Think Jack & Liz or Harry & Hermione or John Kimble & Phoebe O'Hara (Kindergarten Cop, y'all).

There's *so* much history we can take advantage of for YA. Victims of colonization going after the British Empire??? Like, subvert the colonial English genre! Imagine The Little Princess or The Jungle Book but instead of quaint British stories, they're tales of anger & revenge!!#MSWL these !!!!!
