So let's talk graphic novel #MSWL ahead of me opening on 6/1. Below are just a small sample of some of my talented clients and their work. For graphic novels, art is such a big part of it for me. pic.twitter.com/nePULFddzM
But you don't have to be an illustrator to give me graphic novels. I also love script only graphic novels #MSWL.
One thing I have noticed about my taste is I read for escape. I lean towards fantasy, or contemporary-elevated (which is not my regular every day).

#MSWL time. Does anyone remember Cybersix? It was a comic, I watched the television series. I'd love to see another gender-bending story (graphic novel or fiction) in my inbox. Also think Nikita with Maggie Q.

My graphic novels are taking up more and more of my very limited shelf space! I just finished STEPPING STONES by Lucy Kinsey and really loved it; in it, Lucy wants to move back to the city--but (being city bound at the moment) I came for farm and stayed for the barn kittens! pic.twitter.com/Bo2gDrwQ3kAnyhow, graphic novels are high up on my #mswl at the moment! They've been a big source of company during the lockdown.

tfw i feel bad for taking over 2 weeks with a commission but then i think about how the pope commissioned michelangelo to paint the sistine chapel and it took 4 years and he literally ran away twice cuz he hated painting and wanted to sculpt and the pope kept hunting him down#MSWL Michelangelo and the Pope Sistine Chapel story funny and informative for young creative readers to feel better about life. GN format of course!

I also have experience working on middle grade and YA graphic novels, and I’d love to see more of those, as well as select narrative non-fiction on lesser-known subjects. 5/?

#MSWL MG, YA, or graphic novels with this mood / setting / ambience / evocative sense of the fantastical waiting-to-happen as a jumping-off point.

#MSWL GNs that:
-play with myths, magic, the elements
-have strong female characters
-feature heartwarming story arcs
-have a strong use of color
In short, if you have a GN, pitch me!

#MSWL I would love to read more YA non-fiction graphic novels that:
-showcase proactive groups of people (think GIRLS WHO RUN THE WORLD)
-deal with serious topics (reproductive rights, loss, mental illness, etc.) in a positive way (can be fiction too)
-are inspiring memoirs
