Hello, literary agents! It’s been awhile since I’ve done this, so here’s a thread of #MSWL requests, aka the submissions I want to see in my inbox:First off, work by BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and/or disabled authors are always welcome in the genres I edit, which includes romance yes, but also mystery and thrillers, upmarket fiction, fiction with fantasy/sci-fi/ speculative elements that are mainstream crossovers, and nonfiction.

Bipoc, neurodiverse, and queer folk are always my main priority

in fiction and nonfiction, I particularly want to see more BIPOC, disabled, LGBT+ authors (though please don't feel pressured to disclose anything you're not comfortable with)
more indigenous/non-Western culture, mythology, and tropes

Contemporary💫 Give me your stories that focus on being 1st/2nd gen stories, multigeneration BIPOC family, returning to the homeland, and/or international settings with local protags

Editor
Historical Fiction💫 Desperately looking for projects that have a global and non-Western perspective on history
Romance💫 QBIPOC or BIPOC rom-coms/romances, and I would love to some interracial romances where both characters are BIPOC

Editor
SFF💫 I would love to see futures that star BIPOC casts and fantasy worlds inspired by non-Western folklores and myths
Horror💫 I'm looking for elevated horror that unpacks societal, community, and/or personal traumas, as well as any monster reimaginings from a BIPOC POV

This great @annehelen interview with activist Ragen Chastain (@danceswithfat) reminds me of a #MSWL: I'd love to do a picture book about fatness and body positivity with a BIPOC team. If you have a MS, hit me up! annehelen.substack.com/p/i-had-been-h…
