And finally if you have chapter book or middle grade book that uses humour, adventure, fantasy, sci-fi or any combination thereof to help little kids explore their big feelings like in COCO and OVER THE MOON, please send me your work. #mswl

2. Commercial fantasy adventure series, ensemble casts with or without a talking creature or two

More specifically in MG, i love a great, accessible voice and humor across the spectrum, but also more serious literary stories. MORE specifically:

1. Madcap adventures in any genre

“I’d love to see middle-grade adventure novels. The next female Indiana Jones or a young Lara Croft.” @readbystephanie #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/

I need a chapter book series about the adventures and hijinks these girls go on! PLEASE! #mswl

#MSWL A take on Red, White and Royal Blue but with rival mafia kids. Lots of adventure please.

okay i can't stop thinking about it, which means i have to #mswl it:

agents, if you can send me an adventure romance that evokes the fun, the fear, and love story that's in THE MUMMY (1999), you may just find yourself a book deal

but also in book form for I have a NEED #mswl

finding 'ohana is sO delightful, and if anyone has a middle grade exactly like it (fish out of water! treasure hunt! reconnecting to your heritage! making friends! grandparent relationships! annoying siblings stuck on an adventure!) i would love love love to see it #mswl

“Send me your diverse MG adventures where the kids go wild in a fashion industry setting, think a big and beautiful bridal shop a la Say Yes to the Dress or a designer's home office or flagship.” @readbystephanie #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/

I’ve wanted “girls road trip in space” for yeaaaaaaaars. Pleaaaaaaaaase! #mswl

Ahead of reopening to queries on Monday, here's an updated #MSWL as well as the link to query which will be live from Monday!

8) Yes, I do graphic novels! In addition to cozy fantasy, looking for MG fantasy/adventure more broadly and for moody, literary-feeling YA coming-of-age stories (the queerer the better).

4.1) Commercial MG fantasy/adventure that could launch a 5-book series. I am ready to pick some fights with editor friends at RR Presents and Scholastic! 👀

Authors, my submission inbox is open and my #MSWL is updated! Take a look and if I sound like a fit, send me your query: manuscriptwishlist.com/mswl-post/chel… #amwriting #amquerying

(YA/MG genre continued) Like with contemporary, I am especially interested in queer, disabled, and BIPOC protagonists, especially when the books are not issue driven. But above all give me a good, page turning adventure. #mswl

In keeping with #mysteries and twists and adventures, I loved that new Amazon Prime show #TheWilds and would love to see any #YA that would comp to it. @thewildsonprime #MSWL

For MG readers, I’m keen to find a funny, female focused story with series potential (think Louise Rennison or Karen McCombie) and an adventure story for that age group too. I love anything creepy and spooky, so please send anything like that along to me too.

I promised updated #mswl this week, but got a bit distracted by the news. My MSWL page hasn’t changed much, so it’s a good reference. For #mg, I’m on the lookout for commercial action/adventure, a story I can escape into. Also love unique settings (think Holes.)

I call my taste "timeless meets timely" meaning I like books that lean into a genre or trope but spin it for a modern reader. Fairytales? Princesses? Magical creatures? Sci-fi adventures? Great! Update it. #MSWL
