Chelsey Emmelhainz @LitAgentChelseyDear #amquerying, I'll be closing to queries on 12/1!
Please submit to me before that so I can dig into your work over the holidays.
FWIW, I'm still looking for fresh, diverse #horror and #mystery (dark or cozy) and narrative nonfic that sheds light on hidden histories
Chelsey Emmelhainz (closed to queries) @LitAgentChelsey✨Dear authors, I'm planning to reopen to queries on 9/1! ✨ For now, please check out my new and improved #MSWL: manuscriptwishlist.com/mswl-post/chel… #amquerying #WritingCommunity
Today's the day ... I'm open to queries!🥳
Be sure to read my updated #MSWL before querying as some of my target genres have changed.
I'm a huge true crime fan and lately I've been obsessed with stories of young men who mysteriously vanish from their cars. There are so many of these stories in the true crime world... I'd love to see a fiction or nonfiction project inspired by this phenomenon #mswl
Chelsey Emmelhainz @LitAgentChelseyIn both nonfiction and fiction, I think there are stories yet to be told here and I'm curious to find them.
All this said, I should add a caveat that simply having a childless protagonist is not the same thing as using a narrative to explore childfree themes. Childless ≠ childfree. #MSWL
Thanks for coming to my TedTalk.
Chelsey Emmelhainz @LitAgentChelseyJust a few days into the new year and I'm pleased to announce that I have now responded to all outstanding queries from 2021! 🥳
I am once again open to new queries! I can't wait to see what brilliance y'all are bringing this year. #amquerying #WritingCommunity
Richard Thomas @richardgthomas3I'm looking for arctic, winter, snow, Alaskan horror novels written in the last five years. Other elements include sin-eaters, isolation, monsters, folklore, traditions, rituals, and hope. And if there is a resource I'm unaware of for comps, let me know that, too. Thanks! pic.twitter.com/FR7xWo3GiA
Hey author friends, I'm once again ready for your queries! 🙌 Thanks for your patience while I got through my submission pile; I can't wait to see what you've been working on! #amquerying #MSWL @CoppsLiterary
Kate Kelly @Kate_Kelly_EsqWhy aren't there more women-led cults??
Men's cults are so boring & predictable + women do all the hard work anyway (think Ma Anand Sheela, Bonnie Lu Nettles aka "Ti," Allison Mack... etc.)
Chelsey Emmelhainz @CKEmmelhainzThe avalanche explains everything...except the missing eyes, tongue, and clothing of the dead...
This is why my #MSWL asks for stories that use real historical happenings as a basis for supernatural terror (i.e. Alma Katsu's The Hunger & The Deep and the TV series The Terror)! twitter.com/NatGeo/status/…
National Geographic @NatGeoA 62-year-old mystery has prompted conspiracies involving Soviet experiments, Yetis, and aliens. Science finally has some answers on.natgeo.com/3oy6fKK

Grace Ellis Barber @novelorbust@CKEmmelhainz "I'm a sucker for: The Donner Party"
😂 I have a deep appreciation for this level of macabre humor.
