This is oddly specific, but if you have a dark novel about the child of a parent who is a social media influencer (whether adult or YA) I’d love to see it! #MSWL

FORMATS:
I just did the deal for books 12 & 13 in my first 12 months as an S&S editor (🎉)—and many of them are picture books! (My first & forever love.)

So this year, I’m especially eager to acquire more MG and YA: novels/verse, graphics, nonfiction.

In both YA and Adult/NA I want plot forward books, generational stories, female-driven, complex families. Magical realism, especially when linked to Hispanic origins.

In YA I want rich world building with strong and clear magic system and am open to romance as central part of the plot. I love retellings of classic stories, realistic fiction with mystery, thriller, heist/spies and untrustworthy characters

First, I’m excited to be representing young adult and adult fiction and am especially interested in books with crossover potential in the new adult range

I would love a YA that explores toxic fandom!! #mswl

YA and up: Family dramas that make you LOL or weep, no in between; Cute romances; kids trying to find their people and find themselves on the way; All sorts of spec-fic; all kinds of horror; cyber/solar-punk, with an emphasis on the punk; books that will radicalize kids
