Very specific #mswl but please can I have a YA that makes me feel like Celeste’s song Strange 💖😭

I find a mixture of genres THRILLING. So something like historical crime I would LOVE. In fact, universe, PLEASE send me more #historical fiction. I’d also love to see some contemporary thrillers and mysteries - a sort of YA Gone Girl (fingers crossed!).

Kianna Shore @KiannaShore · Jan 10

The characters themselves can be as messy as Prince Zuko or as adorable as Adora! There should be some sort of internal conflict, some inner demons that they’re fighting. Give me angsty monster girls that dream of ruling the world or burning it down 🔥

Kianna Shore @KiannaShore · Jan 10

I am looking for character driven stories that are well written. I ♥️myself a complicated plot with scheming, cons, and playing the long game, but the characters must drive the story forward with their own wants and emotions.

To those #amquerying folk, here is my #MSWL for 2020 (and a few reminders)! I am still primarily looking for #YA fiction. I’m yearning for stories written by underrepresented writers with their #ownvoices. Please send them ALL💯

So it's 2020 and I need more books so #MSWL pic.twitter.com/ZjqixMORcp

These are some of my top needs (from the graphic):
-MG and YA graphic novels
-Mermaids. *I know what I want so I will know when I see it*
-Elegant Horror. (what does this mean, Natascha? Think THE GRACE YEAR, THE HAZELWOOD, WILDER GIRLS) #MSWL

YA
-***THE CLIMATE IS CHANGING WE MUST CHANGE OURSELVES***
-juicy love story across power/privilege axes (which interrogates that power)
-again, joyful/frivolous/funny stories that center teens from marginalized backgrounds
-plot-heavy, pace-y historical fiction

I'd love to see YA in the vein of CIRCE or SONG OF ACHILLES. Same tone and feel, not necessarily greek mythos. #mswl

Vicki Lame @thedaysbetween · Jan 9

#MSWL boarding school / prep school / ivy league novels of all kinds (YA and adult)

P.S. Literary Agency @PSLiterary · Jan 9

“Graphic Novels: contemporary young adult and middle grade, graphic memoirs, graphic nonfiction.” @msmariavicente #MSWL mariavicente.com/representation

Julie Gwinn @JulieGwinn · Jan 9

Other agents post their #MSWL by genre. For me, I want smart, well-written adult or YA fiction with conflict, character growth and feels. Looking for an "OMG didn't see that coming." Also nonfiction that is inspirational or solves a problem. #amwriting #writingcommunity

Can we please stop saying that diabetes is something that happens to people who are overweight? That's not how it works.

Diabetes is so misunderstood. Coming from a family with many T1 diabetics, I would love to see a diabetic mc in MG and YA where the disease is truly well-handled. Doesn’t have to be the focus/issue! #MSWL

Alex Borbolla @Alex_Borbolla · Jan 8

I would love a MG or YA about life after recovering from illness like ALEXA AND KATIE on Netflix or Barbara Dee’s HALFWAY NORMAL #MSWL
