I'd love to see LIS submissions in which the group attacking the hero/heroine has women at all levels. Usually when the villains are part of a group or taking out hits on them, the grunts are men, and women are only involved if they are behind it all and/or hiring hit men. #mswlPut women on the front lines too. Have them as the ones taking orders and trying to kill/kidnap the characters. They can also be dishonorably discharged ex-military now trying to supplement incomes with criminal activity. Or whatever else. It doesn't always have to be men. #mswl

Dear #amquerying writers,
I'm working from home (as is everyone) and I really need some escapist queries in my inbox. Send me your upmarket women's fiction, contemporary romances, thrillers, and contemporary fantasies (+1 if it's queer, +1 if it's diverse and #ownvoices). #MSWL

#MSWL: right about now we all need to get lost in a story that's positive, escapist, and fun. Ideally with strong women at its center. Be it a romp, a romance, a literary thriller -- send books that will carry us away. Submission guidelines here: pw.org/literary_agent…

On the subject of middle-grade, I'm still not seeing enough comedy by women. I continue to wax about it, but @sharnajackson's HIGH RISE MYSTERY is the perfect example of a funny, clever adventure with all the life and representation that I'm looking for.

#MSWL. Please send me some light, fun reading! Romantic comedies & uplifting women's fiction. Historical fiction set in glamorous locales and a glamorized past like THE GIRL IN WHITE GLOVES or AND THEY CALLED IT CAMELOT.

“In non-fiction, I want to read about historical funny women, your Lucille Balls and Bea Arthurs. For humor in fiction, think the next Mrs. Maisel.” @readbystephanie #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/

Why can't we support a woman for president. We expect women to raise a family but not a nation? twitter.com/nytimes/status…Can I please, #MSWL, have an adult fiction written documentary style (as if memoir maybe, or interview style like SLEEPING GIANTS) where a woman becomes president and overcomes all the crap.

I need someone to write a comprehensive book like “What To Expect when you’re Expecting” but for women and aging.I mean someone should warn you that you will have to break up w cheese *ahead of time.*
I would like it to be written by a Black woman.
Thanks in advance.
This is a great idea. #MSWL

• Fresh, complex aduly fantasy! I do not want to see fae, elves, or other commonly-utilized fantasy creatures. Show me characters realizing their world is way, way bigger (maybe magically?) Than they realized. Bring me intense relationships here. Family drama. FANTASY CLOTHES.Ignoring the typo... this is always on my wishlist for adult fantasy!!! Also: women with magic of all ages and stages of life, beautiful&interactive fantasy settings, rich cultural influence, and surprising new applications of magic or fantasy elements. #MSWL 1/
