"Doppelgangers in dramatic women's fiction. Send me something interesting, give me characters with depth, with something to lose, and with something to fight for. Send me something I've never seen before." @readbystephanie #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/

"In non-fiction, I want to read about historical funny women, your Lucille Balls and Bea Arthurs. For humor in fiction, think the next Mrs. Maisel." @readbystephanie #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/

#PitMad legions: if I <3 you today, please send query w/tweet and the first 50 pages to spelletier at dystel dot com. Good luck out there! pic.twitter.com/uY8iKlujcj

and because I'm not sure how much time I'll have today to browse the feed, right now I'm especially hungry for: upmarket WF, book club fiction, and truly fresh suspense fiction.
Diverse voices extra welcome.
Not for me: SF/F, paranormal, kids/YA

P.S. just FYI as a former ballet and ballroom dancer (way former) I am obsessed with #Hiplet so if you have #ownvoices stories I want to see them. #MSWL #WF #Romance

That said, I am always looking for good page-turning thrillers, mysteries, crime novels, science fiction, fantasy, and even women's fiction. For a complete list, see the "what we want" page on our website. #mswl

Overall, I want complex relationships, nuanced characters, & smartly plotted novels. A huge plus: a strong sense of place that adds complexity to the story - I don't want just another NYC book! #MSWL #Mystery #Thriller #FamilySaga #WomensFiction #WomenWriters #Speculative

I read a ton of mystery/thriller/suspense submissions as well as women's fiction & I find that I've become increasingly disappointed when the love interest pops in and it's not a LGBTQ character. Where are my LGBTQ characters? #MSWL
