Opening day is this week so here’s your regular reminder that if you have a baseball themed YA/MG/women’s fiction/romance PLEASE send it to me. #mswl (and I’m especially interested if it deals with MiLB!)
James McGowan @jamerrson.@BookEndsJessica and I have been super interested in this "sharenting" craze. We think it would make for so many good books. #MSWL fastcompany.com/90315706/kids-…
History Lovers Club @historylvrsclubThe WAVES were a World War II-era division of the U.S. Navy that consisted entirely of women. The name of this group is an acronym for 'Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service' pic.twitter.com/ZpaewwrkQM
"Multi POV, time slip or dual past/present narrative structure women’s fiction, historical, domestic suspense, or upmarket like THE ALICE NETWORK, THE SUBWAY GIRLS." @carlywatters #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/
I have a #MSWL, one that I've wanted for a long time. I would love, LOVE, to work with a female veteran who is writing the Great American War Novel, where women and their lives are centered instead of on the periphery. Also, if this exists, tell me so I can read it.
I just finished watching The Favourite and I have so many #MSWL wants. I want powerful women in historicals, as opposed to empowered, with power plays and antics, friendships and romance, deep nuanced character relationships and falling outs.
Sarah E. Younger @seyitsmeI am going to do 5 FEMINIST WISH LIST READS on this #InternationalWomensDay
3) I want a BEST FRIENDS STORY inspired by the AMAZING and Wonderful @ArianaGrande's 7 Rings. YES GIRL BUY YOUR FRIENDS 7 RINGS. YOU DON'T NEED A MAN TO BUY YOU JEWELRY AND NEITHER DO THEY. twitter.com/seyitsme/statu…
I am going to do 5 FEMINIST WISH LIST READS on this #InternationalWomensDay
4) I want an Ocean's 8 Heist Something. It could be a historical or a period piece to change up the game on the AWESOME movie, but give me a book with lots of women doing lots of daring SH*T!!
Super, SUPER interested in books that explore women's history and tell me the stories left out of my school textbooks. Books like Margot Lee Shetterly's HIDDEN FIGURES, Denise Kiernan's THE GIRLS OF ATOMIC CITY, or Mallory O'Meara's THE LADY FROM THE BLACK LAGOON. #mswl

#MSWL Epic fantasy that asks big picture questions about relevant issues we are facing today, or will face in the near future. W/fully explored settings I've never seen before, women w/unique skills/roles & powerful personalities, and big, high stakes plots.
Rebecca F. Kuang @kuangrfi learned about nüshu, a Chinese script that only women could write and understand, a long time ago but ran across it again in a reading today and now i can't stop thinking about it. where's the SFF treatment of this? the possibilities!
nüshu magic—ink witches sending spells and messages through hidden script that changes on the page, empires crumbling on the strength of a carefully wrought character, sworn sisters taking vengeance for their own—I want every iteration #MSWL
