Women

Jessica Faust @BookEndsJessica · 29 Aug 2018

As you know I've been on the hunt for more #ownvoices and #diversebooks in nonfiction & fiction in mystery, suspense, thriller, upmarket & literary, & women's fiction. #MSWL

Jessica Faust @BookEndsJessica · 29 Aug 2018

I'll be quite honest, I'm tired of the white, male, straight cop. It isn't that I won't read or consider, I'm just bored and I don't want to be bored. Give me the lesbian mother fighting for her child or the POC cop. Give me more women and give me something I haven't seen #MSWL

Jessica Faust @BookEndsJessica · 29 Aug 2018

I'd also like to see fun, sweary, powerful, in your face self-help nonfiction--like YOU ARE A BADASS or THE SUBTLE ART OF NOT GIVING A F**CK, but I'd like them to be written by women. #MSWL

Jessica Faust @BookEndsJessica · 29 Aug 2018

While #ownvoices and #diversebooks have caught on in YA, I'm still struggling to see it in adult and, frankly, that's what I want more of. #MSWL My target genres right now are: literary & upmarket fiction, mystery, suspense, thriller, & women's fiction.

Help me through this sinus infection by sending me #mswl I’m desperate to read:

Female code breakers/spies a la BBC’s Bletchley Circle, THE ALICE NETWORK, or VELVET UNDERCOVER. Remarkable women in history who served great purpose in war. Mostly adult, but will take YA!

Tahra @calixofcoffee · 22 Aug 2018

Also #mswl: books revolving around what easy-to-access DNA kits means. solving crimes/cold cases, finding long-lost family, finding out your family isn't actually blood, etc. WF/Rom.

A Woman Reading @AWomanReading · 22 Aug 2018

I'm also always looking for magical girls (or women) generally. :) #mswl #magicalrealism

Thank you @WF_Writers for including me in your agency spotlight. It's been fun to see all of the #WF queries come in. #MSWL

Jessica Faust @BookEndsJessica · 16 Aug 2018

In general, my #MSWL includes mystery, suspense, thriller, women's fiction, upmarket & literary fiction. I want more #ownvoices in all things and more #diversebooks #thursdaythoughts

Jessica Faust @BookEndsJessica · 16 Aug 2018

I desperately need upmarket, literary or women's fiction that takes a close look at the opioid epidemic. Maybe a person dealing with a child, spouse, or other who is addicted? Or a family saga ala Bull Mountain #MSWL

Rachel Brooks @RachMBrooks · 14 Aug 2018

I'd like to see more light/fun contemporary YA or women's fiction set outside of the United States. I love to armchair travel! #MSWL

Hey #amquerying authors! Here's what the BookEnds agents are dying to see in their inboxes. #MSWL twitter.com/bookendslit/st…

I was late coming to the thread so I'll add mine in now. I'd like more books like Crazy Rich Asians. I'm in the mood for something funny and light. #diversebooks a plus or women's fiction. #amquerying #MSWL

Jessica Watterson @JessWatterson · 7 Aug 2018

I'm putting it out into the universe and hoping it will be kind and answer, if there are any Polynesian authors out there who have either a YA, HistFic, WF, Romance, or even mystery, I reeeeeeeeeeally want to see it! #MSWL

I’m acquiring upbeat, popular romance in the 60k and 80k ranges, 80k-ish women’s fiction, and psychological thrillers anywhere from 80k-100k. All contemporary. Hook me with your high concept, fun-to-read characters, and fresh, relevant worldview. entangledpublishing.submittable.com/submit/ #MSWL
