I've been thinking a LOT about what I'd like to see in a YA vampire book revival and it's this: teen girl pursues becoming a vampire because she wants power #MSWL

Ok, so I was a huge vampire person when I was younger. I'm kind of over vampires, but I know they are coming back, so #mswl if you have super evil vampires I'll take a look! Scary horror vampires! Or how about two evil vampires who try to kill each other and then fall in love?

I'm open to vampires! You've just got to give me something different, unique, with a wonderful plot or setting. Still thinking there's so much we can do with New Orleans POC vamps or vamps in island regions.

#mswl - I would love a fresh take on YA paranormal: vampires or werewolves like we've never seen them before, or a sprawling ghost story. Something that feels both grounded and also epic in terms of it scope and stakes.

Southern gothic has been claimed so much by white writers when some of my favorite southern gothic literature is by black authors so would love to see the submissions I get really reflect the diversity of the south and of vampires, haha. #mswl
