#MSWL I don’t usually ask for thrillers but I’d like one where a detective or FBI agent purchases a used computer at a local junk shop & finds disturbing images on it—including a photograph of a well-known missing person, someone he personally knows. And she may still be alive.

I saw #ASimpleFavor last night knowing very little about it. I highly recommend going in like that. If you have seen it, I now want a YA with the same level of tension and comedy. Thriller comedies, please! #MSWL

YA thrillers that feel surprising and new. I'm a murderino at heart and am currently loving Sadie by Courtney Summers. Also would really love to see thrillers written by POC writers and other writers from marginalized backgrounds. I know they're out there! #MSWL

My biggest #mswl of late is a fresh take on a YA thriller. Give me a new format, big stakes, characters who take agency over their circumstances and flip all expectations (think SADIE or GENUINE FRAUD)

Smart, savvy, adult thrillers with a literary voice and crossover appeal. Some speculative aspect is fine. Think Tana French or Lauren Beukes. No cops. No sexual violence. Women, PoC, other marginalized folk would be ideal. #MSWL

Contemporary horror/thriller focused on the experiences of POCs. We live harrowing lives and ones that see the world from a different angle. Film/tv has done a great job of catching up to representing those experiences. I want more of it in books. #MSWL

I love a good psychological thriller (Gillian Flynn, Ruth Ware, etc.)--would love to find a teen one that plays with unreliable narrators, unexpected plot twists, etc. #MSWL

Think more Killing Eve/Alias, less Bourne Identity, for me in terms of globe-trotting thriller. #MSWL

I'm always open to thriller, espec. psychological and domestic, though political is sometimes a tough sell for me. I like espionage if it's new and fresh, and with a female lead or co-lead. #MSWL
