Rom-com set in a restaurant but not like a fancy one. A place where they have to wear horrible uniforms (with pieces of flair), and sing terrible birthday songs, and there's tons of back of the house hijinks #MSWL

I'm also often drawn to books with strong water elements. Moody lighthouse keepers! Sleepy coastal towns! Ship captains! Merpeople! If there's lots of fog and salt air, I'm likely to be intrigued. (This goes for both romance and mystery.) #MSWL

I realize this is super specific, but that's what #MSWL is for!I'd love a middle grade that plays with how we can never be 100% sure what others are thinking--and, if it comes with something like an objective social interpretation machine, all the better.
In fact, I tend to love characters who find an objective way to interpret the things humans can never fully understand. If this goes with the last tweet, great! If not, still here for this. #MSWL
